A free online course Food Safety: Modern Legislation, Bona Fide Manufacturer and Responsible Consumer has been launched in Ukraine. Lectures can be viewed on Prometheus, a platform of mass open online courses.
“In this course, you will learn whether modern approaches to production and circulation are able to guarantee the consumer safe food and how we can protect ourselves from food-related hazards. We will consider in detail the new food legislation of Ukraine and what exactly it gives to businesses and consumers,” the description of the course says.
Lectures are devoted to the development, implementation and support of functioning of the procedures based on the principles of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). Today, this system is the basis of food safety management by the world’s best producers. The proper implementation of HACCP allows not only to mitigate the risks associated with food poisoning of consumers, but also to improve the products and processes of a company.
“You will learn about the current production and circulation of food products through the review and analysis of best practices in the world,” authors of the course say.
The Food Safety: Modern Legislation, Bona Fide Manufacturer and Responsible Consumer online course has been developed, created and implemented within the framework of the Improvement of Food Safety Control System in Ukraine EU Project in cooperation with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the State Service of Ukraine to Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
